that is very interested in doing a video/article on my massage therapy business and paying me for it. I'm assuming they will most likely want permission/rights to post it on their web site along with any other related articles. I checked out what they have up there already and am a little concerned with the wording here and there, in particular the following:

Well it didnt sound bad, it wasnt describing an erotic massage by any means. آ It didnt sound bad - but it didnt sound professional either. آ  However it was not telling professional MTs how to give a massage, it was telling the layperson how to give a relaxing massage to someone they care about. آ  They werent suggesting you could run out and start a massage business just after reading what they had to say. They could definately stress draping MORE! especially if they are talking about giving other loved ones (family, good friends or whatever) آ They do recommend it, and they do remind to do it when you have your loved one turn over. آ Who is to say they didnt contact a professional? It didnt sound like someone just whipped that up out of their imagination. آ  آ Many MTs use "fluffy towels". آ This sounded like it was absolutely for the Layperson, a lay person doesnt have a professional آ massage table or linens or professional massage supplies. I wasnt offended, it made me want to give my fiance a nice relaxing massage when he gets home from work.  But i definatly understand you wanting to be associated with more professional publications.

I think that if you maintain editorial control over what is electronically published, you should be okay. That way, you'd be able to maintain your professionalism while providing the lay public a viable source of information.

I guess I just don't want them to put my article up next to the one that's already out there and claim they are coming from the same (type of) source(s), because they definitely are not. When I give couple classes on massaging one another, I try to focus not only on the relaxation/setting part of the session, but also on the bodymechanics of the one giving the massage, because obviously the individual doesn't want to hurt themselves giving the massage. Then it would become only a one-time experience, and I want to teach couples to provide on-going massage for one another. At any rate, Gaspen, I guess what you said really hits it on the head for me. I'll need to stress the importance of not signing away editorial rights to the article, if I write it.  And if they write it, that they allow me to edit the article prior to it getting published (anywhere).  As for the video, it's difficult to screw that up so I'm not so worried about that.Be well,Jen

Start at the pubic bone for friends and family? آ I don't think so. آ I don't start at the pubic bone on anyone, not even my wife. آ  ;Dedit:  I replyed without looking at the website, that was all out of contex.  I need to remember:  Look before you leap, durn it!

I guess you could start by stripping the distal portion of the rectus abdominis, but...I'm with you, I definitely WOULD NOT begin there, nor would I 'straddle' my client on the floor (or any where), that just seems to cross way too many boundaries.
