Question on introducing a over active dog to a small kitten?

Ok we got my new kitten yesterday. yesterday we spent most of the day getting him use to us when we where home. He was so scared when we got him, but he is a big lover after he settled down in the house.
I introduced my older dog who is a lab, and has helped raise kittens, baby bunnies and loves several other animals. But since she knows how to act around a kitten I introduced her last night, the kitten at first didn't like her but by 3 am he was sleeping about a inch from my labs head. I thought that was cute and he found out that she wasn't going to hurt him.

But now I have to introduce a over hyper dog to a scared kitten. The kitten's name is Gremlin, and he is taking after his name lol. But the dog who is hyper has never seen a kitten only adult cats and he loves to pick on them from time to time. How would you introduce them?

Would you introduce him to the gremlin like I did my older dog make him sit on the other side of the room then when the Gremlin sees him let him sniff the air and then bring the young dog over and let him sit beside the bed while we pet the gremlin and tell him he is fine. And try to keep the young dog calm?

Please give me some advice I won't be doing this alone. My husband is going to help me with the introductions with both the young dog and the other cats.
