PSORIASIS AND ECZEMA

Hi there, have 2 case studies where I would like to make a moisturiser up for them to rub into the affected areas.
Has anyone had any joy with blends and if so what sort of oils did you use and in what quantities.I know a lot of this is more about the root cause of the problem rather than treating the symptoms but would like to offer my case studies something to try to feel as if I am giving more back to themi if this makes sense.

The oils to use would depend on th esymptomes/tastes of the person. As for quantities, I hvae no clue how much to use in a moisturiser...

I make up a 60ml jar of two thirds base cream, one third equal quantities of calendula, evening primrose and avocado oils. To that I add ten drops of chamomile roman, ten drops of lavender and ten drops of patchouli. If this is for children, I halve the quantity of essential oils and for very young babies, I leave out the patchouli.

hi

im doing a pet project at the moment, my cousin gets we think eczema on her left eye and around her lips, not on her lips around which looks red raw and then peels. I want to try some essential oils and or carrier oils, does anyone have experience with whilst in the shower after washing the face placing grapeseed oil for instance straight on the face before getting out of the shower.

any thoughts

I used to get red itchy patches around my eyes, lips and nose and couldn't work it out until somebody suggested it was my nail varnish. Sure enough it was. I was touching these areas and then when they started to irritate and the nail varnish made it worse.

Seems it was an allergy to lanolin which is in nail varnish. I don't wear it now and some nail varnishes were fine but others weren't.

thanks for the post, the only thing is she never wears nail varnish but i might investigate lanolin as she may use something which contains this..

Hi,

I used Chamomile (Roman) for one of my case studies with Eczema and it was quite successful at reducing the itching - but I didn't use oil, I used a base lotion I make. I read somewhere that if you have eczema, applying oil can sometimes make the skin feel hot, which makes the itching worse - but I can't vouch for that personally..
