I noticed a new Premier Spa policy. All customers must create an account first (name and cell number) on their website. Otherwise, no appointment.
Has anybody done this? Any issues with privacy? I guess customers won't be anonymous anymore.

The need to get the customer name and phone number as part of the regulations from the city. In terms of privacy you only need to be worried if there is a COVID outbreak as they need to give the list of clients who visited the spa around the time of the outbreak to public health. They are also using the information to track no shows and ban customers from booking with they do it to frequently. I do think business is down after the policy came into ef as they recently let some attendants go.

I did and I don't really see any new, at least for myself.
The nickname we all had to provide before. the phone # too, since they did not answer from anonymous #. So the new is the mapping "nickname- phone#" that now stored in DB.
I don't mind.

I never said the policy was recently created. That is what OP said.

I said the policy is now more visible and has gained attention due to Brass Rail news reports.
