My first question, when I saw this post -
Did the treatment table have a face hole?
The reason being - is that, if not, then one likely explanation is that if you were lying on your front during the massage, then your neck will have been held in extension, side bending & rotation, for a length of time, which is just asking for some of the small facet joints in the neck to 'lock'. There are ways around this, whilst lying prone, such as support under the chest combined with a face saver pillow.
In short - all the symptoms you describe can be attributed with such a neck problem and there was probably a degree of this prior to the aggravating incident. It's just that was the proverbial last straw that finished off your neck's ability to cope.
I'm not disregarding any toxic overload or healing crisis senarios, but with info given - it does just sound like a straight forward neck problem.
