pins and plates

hi, just needed a bit of advise, if someone has pins or plates in there back does that mean they can not have a back massege?
the same if someone has pins or plates in a different part of there body can they have a massage if you just avoid the place or part of the body they have them??

I think it should be fine. Check with them where exactly the plate is (and how deep) and how long ago it was put in. And how sensitive it still is now.

I would probably be a bit more gentle in that area, but just ask for lots of feedback from your client as you go. I don't see a need to avoid the area altogether, but ask the client in advance if they are happy with that.

Be careful not to use any hot stones directly over the area where the pin or plate is. It could heat up the metal too much! Other than that, I think it would be fine.

I have never had a problem,sometimes it is a little tender around the area, i just use caution really.
