Open days/taster courses in all types of massage

[HELP!]

Hi all!

I want to do the ITEC massage, physiology and anatomy course this Sept, but am on the look out for any taster sessions/open days locally (Essex, maybe Suffolk) from now until then to get a bit more info and see things happening.

Have ordered some books too to get started.

Also, anyone know of good magazines one can buy or other websites that are of interest to people in/starting in complementary therapy?

Well done for making the decision to do the course.

Try your local adult education centre. Most will do interest only courses. These mean that you can learn the basics in one day or four weeks etc but you are not qualified to practice. Ideal for just friends and family. They usually offer massage, indian head and aromatherapy. The costs are quite reasonable and some even offer concessions for low earners. Please check that you do not need to be qualified to attend. My local college do Sunday sessions which are always quite popular. These will let you know whether you will actually enjoy learning massage which is important before you sign up for a year and lay out lots of money.
