On-site massage chairs

Hi all

I am thinking about buying an on-site massage chair and have been doing some investigating on various websites. I have seen an American one called a Dolphin II which looks quite futuristic and has no bit in the middle that you have to 'step over'. Do any of you have any experience with this chair?

I have heard that good massage chairs can retail for £600 but can't really afford to pay this. Any advice appreciated.

I have a table by Earthlite which is fab and I have read quite a few otherho use this site also have Earthlite, their Avila II onsite chair looks fab I saw it at a show when I got mine. I got an email from them today funny enough to say they are at the show next weekend and excel and had special deals on I have checked back and think the chair is £325 all in, it also said if you cannot make the show to call them for the deal or something like that!!

I have the EarthLite Avilla II, it is a really good chair and the InjuryPrevention price is really good. I have spoken to them on the phone and at exhibitions and they are very helpful, they also do a 9months interest free credit scheme so if you wanted to pay for it monthly you could for £37 a month.

I have never used the Dolphin II chair - is that semi-circular one? If so then I have been spoken to people who didn't like it, but that was their opinion.

The OakWorks PortalPro 3 is also very good, but more expensive then Avilla.

Hi Foz,

I wonder if you could tell me how you find the weight of the Avilla II? as it is heavier than a few i've been looking at (22Ibs) The deal on it is so great at the moment though i don't really want to miss it..but am a little worried about whether i'll be able to lug it about..especially without a car. What do you think?

I thought I might put in my two cents worth. I have a Ergo Pro chair made by Stronglite. My clients enjoy it and find that it is very comfortable. The one thing I could not do without is the removable knee pads. I have a few clients that can't bend their knees at the angle most chairs require, due to bad knees or lack of flexibility. It comes with a carry case on wheels so I dont think you will have to carry it that much, it will be wheely easy to move lol

Hey cookiemonster (great id btw) the weight is quite good, as coop said it comes with a case so you can wheel it around easily enough. I have taken my from home in Slough, on the train to London, to an office in London and then back on a train up to Wolverhampton.

As long as there isn't too much lifting its fine - but thats like any chair / table.
