On site massage chairs

I am sure this has been asked before, but have done a search and can't find anything relevant.

I will be emigrating to Cape Town in the summer with a view to setting up a corporate massage business (if all goes to plan!). My question is - what is the best on-site chair in people's opinion considering I will be mobile.

Are there any South Africans on here that I could 'chat' to about therapies in SA etc.

I'm South African but I've been living here for nearly 14 years. I plan to go back in approx. 4 years time - which is when I'll be asking the same questions as you. I trained over here, so am clueless about the therapy scene in S.A. I'm planning to do mobile massage too.

I've recently done a chair massage course and am currently in the market for a chair. Ive done some research and found out that Oakworks chairs are considered to be very good. I'm currently bidding on e-bay on a Portable Pro 3 chair - which is meant to be one of the best. [Oakworks have a website].

If you look on e-bay or gumtree you'll find some real bargains on almost new chairs. A lot of people buy them and then use them only a few times.

I've heard less than complimentary things about certain chairs which sell very cheaply. They're often imported from china, don't meet safety regulations, are flimsy and probably won't have any sort of proper, enforcable guarantee.

I've got a cheap one - £99 and it's fine. It has plenty of adjustments and my friend says it compares well to hers except she paid approx £150. It's nice and light to move about too.

I've just won an Oakworks hardly used chair on E-Bay and will collecting it next week. I'll let you know what I think of it.

Well done Yogajoga......I love winning on Ebay. I am looking at the Oakworks myself at the moment but I also like the look of the Avila II, but the price is a bit of a turn-off at over £400.

Ebay is fantastic isn't it - unfortunately I don't have the spare cash at the moment even if I did see something so it's probably best not to look .

I'd be very interested in your feedback on the Oakworks chair so please please let me know what you think of it.

The oakworks chair is really good - lightweight and very comfortable. I've only practised on a few people thus far so haven't fully road tested it yet. I'll be going to an office and using it in two weeks.
