On-site Chair Massage

Hello everybody!
I'm new to this site and would really appreciate some advise!
I've been working as a remedial massage therapist for many years, specialising in the treatment of neck and back problems. ( freelance and fully insured)
Just recently I have been approached by a large corporation to offer On- Site Treatments ( chair massage) to their employees.
My question is - will I need to enrol myself in a course of On-Site Accupressure massage ( which I can't afford at the moment ) or get away with offering on-site remedial treatments? - or am I just being daft?

Welcome to the forum. I don't see the necessity of you going to do an on-site accupressure massage course. If you are fully qualified/insured in remedial massage therapy, I would think that is OK. Presumably the Company are fully au-fait with what you will offer.

I perform Indian Head Massage for a large corporation, just people sitting in a chair, and I use a portable headrest for comfort. I treat people at their desk (call centre) as there isn't the facility to go to a private room.

There are a variety of On-Site therapies that can be performed in the workplace and as long as the company know what therapy you are offering, I don't see you having any problems. (You can always check with your qualifiying body or insurance if you want further guidance).

Thanks for your quick reply!

Yes I think I will offer on-site remedial treatment and not get bogged down with an additional course for the moment.
How often do you work at the callcenter and do employees pay for their treatment or does the company subsidise?
I guess there are quite a few payment options available!? I really will need to look into this.

I work once a week for two hours on a Monday morning (and my colleague does the afternoon session). It is subsidised by the company and they ask the employees for a donation of a £1 or so which goes to Charity. (Quite a nice idea and makes the staff feel that are not just getting a "freebie").

Some companies ask the staff to pay - which is OK but you cannot always guarantee getting a regular clientele as some weeks the staff don't always have the money.
