NVQ 3 in Body massage.

Hi,

I was hoping others could share their experiences in how they found NVQ 3 in body massage.I am finding memorizing all the bones, and general make up of the body quite difficult, there is just so much to remember!

I am thoroughly enjoying the course, and find it very interesting.

Hi Rebbeca I remember how hard it was and that was 12 yrs ago. I dedicated 2 hrs per day to A+P study to make sure it would stick!
Am sure you will find plenty of tips on the student training forum.

i made flash cards, with one limb on them to start with, mel cashs pocket atlas of the human body does the same and is about 8 quid

I found a good way to to get them them into my head was to draw them. I started by having an A4 paper with a part of the skeliton photocopied on it then drew in the muscle, naming it along with the insertion and origin. Also when giving a massage to friends name the muscle or muscle group you are doing (friends don't mind they just enjoy the relaxation). Hope it helps

Mencalty- Yes, I have done the drawing thing. I have stuck them to the walls in various places around my house, bathroom, bedroom, toilet! etc. I used to do this with my times table charts as a child too, I definitely think this way is helpful.
