Nuclear power production breaks down radioactive isotopes to destroy mass to create energy, this releases many alpha, beta and gamma rays, which can ionize substances in the human, example, water!

The ionized water will wreck havoc to the DNA and the living organism will mutate. i think solar power good.

solar power may be good but it's far from being a reliable source of energy.
nuclear power does what you say but it is very reliable and any repercussions from it's use is almost zero.
build the power plants as fast as possible.
