DENVILLE, N.J. — The operator of a Route 10 massage business and another individual have been arrested following an investigation into alleged prostitution and money laundering, authorities said.
Soon Y. Bang, 63, of Fairview, also known as “Cindy,” is accused of running an illicit massage business at Oasis Spa, located at 3108 Route 10 West. Investigators allege Bang received proceeds from sex acts performed at the business.
On February 20, Denville Police, along with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, executed a search warrant at the business and the residence of its manager in Fairview. Authorities said they recovered evidence, including a large amount of U.S. currency, that indicated prostitution. It is further alleged that Bang and Yushun Li, 67, of Flushing, New York, engaged in sexual activity in exchange for money.
Bang has been charged with third-degree promoting prostitution, second-degree money laundering, and engaging in prostitution, a disorderly persons offense. Li has also been charged with engaging in prostitution.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office at 973-285-6200 or the Denville Police Department at 973-627-4900.
