Jaez - go there with an open mind and you'll love it.
The teaching methods are unusual.. we work in 3s and not pairs, this allows us to watch a practitioner as well as practice and receive. A lot of the focus is upon posture so the best way to learn the secrets is to watch them, do them, experience them.
The trainers are very enthusiastic, very approachable and well you'll see, they are all batty! If the format is the same as for this year, you will have Gerry over the Mike doing the teaching, although Geraldine does some and more recently Jay and Ann too. You will then break into groups with your trainer, it's normally 2 trainers between a dozen or so. Be warned, we had 120 attendees but he energies in the room were amazing, did mine in the North and the room was lovely.. the attention you get is really good.
You'll probably do the back of the body massage, all the basics to work down the back of the whole body, lovely treatment, lots of massage to give and be had, you'll be on cloud 9 by the end of the course. I vegged out so much I fell asleep at the end of one of my treatments and everyone had dressed and gathered at the front I was so chilled, and I've NEVER zonked out in a massage before that.
You'll also find there are a lot of repeaters on the course, they love it so much and there's so much to learn they go back for more.. I'll be one of those no doubt.. they are good folk and also very supportive.. also good to see where you can travel to with the techniques.
Fozzyo - I can see what you say about the Advanced.. it's a scary one, the first morning they had us all do some work on the practicitioners, one another and Gerry and Geraldine. I really messed up - I recall they said you can use 1/3 the amount of the new serum they use to oil with, so when I got to Geraldine, and first time I'd used it on the course.I was giving her her first oil of the day, used too little, had to add more, couldn't find the bottle, added more, still not enough.. really cocked it up - so embarrassed and tied up. If there's a next time, I'll get it right, no nerves.
I think on day 1 we were all thinking what the hell are they doing, we felt like we didn'd o much and we couldn't see how sponging and slumping were different, it's all the same, but with more intention and focus than we'd even used before and boy is it powerful. Days 2-4 flew by, I can't believe how much we packed in.
Trow - Was just glad we all were in the same group again, lovely to see how we've all developed in the last few months. I wish it was chair and reflex time now, I'm keen to do more!
Had a client today who wanted to smile and feel floaty, she floated right off the couch in fits of giggles.. was lovely to see the transofmation.
Also used the spinal techniques on my other half, who is a notorously bad client (hehe) - he can now manage to close his eyes for treatment but is very resistant.. this time, after about 25 minutes he was zonked out sleeping, took him 10 minutes to wake.. made the course all worth it just to see him finally release. All the more - he was impressed!
