Your right, shanghai is not as obviously flooded with working girls as other cities. A combination of genetics, culture, diet, cheap fashion and population make any major city in china good fullstop though. Shanghai is proud of its image as a 'sophisticated' city and will clean up its face. I like and dislike shanghai for these reasons :S

One could ponder the differences between cities all night but we have to work with what we have. Make no excuses for being a man and ask girls out! Get numbers if your staying a few nights. First of all, the hilton IS girl friendly. Never had a problem getting my girl in. If you walk out at night from the Hilton, it is nearly impossible, not to get caught by any girls.
