My first job! Yeah!

Just wanted to let everyone here know that I've got my first massage-related job. It's a part-time gig with reception as part of it. Once I pass the national and get licensed, I'll start doing work on Wednesdays and Saturdays (while still doing reception stuff).

Now that I've gotten over the gee-I've-graduated-and-now-I-need-a-job hurdle, getting the second one should be somewhat easier.

How cool, Gaspen, that you'll get to work and become really comfortable in the place where you'll eventually be doing massage! Great to be able to get to know the other people there, too.

Isn't it going to be great to actually be PAID for doing massage? I graduated in November, but still need to take the nat'l cert. exam and then a state practical before I can get my license here in NH. I am still doing free massages all the time, but it's starting to get to me that I am doing them for free! (I know, I know...karma...it'll all come back eventually! :roll: ) I am looking at another 4-5 months of free ones, since my state only gives a practical 3 times a year. :x

Got a call from a salon owner a couple of days ago who wants me to look at a room she's offering for when I get my license. We'll see; it could be a great potential opportunity for me...but please give me strength to make it all the way til I'm licensed!!!

Hang in there. I know the feeling. I still have to take the national and then licensed (and fingerprinted/background checked - hope nothing is lurking in my past to bite me). 'Course, I still have to graduate (the ceremony is next Wednesday). The space you're looking at is a definite possibility. It never hurts to keep all your options open - especially in this business (the way I hear it).

Well, that was my shortest job ever. Not an accomplish I would wish on anyone. I've been in training for a job but due to lack of business, I was dismissed (not really fired I suppose - but still....)
