Sex can be obtained in 3 ways, through courting, paying, or violence, courting and paying are consensual, whereas the violence is nonconsensual.
Sex through violence, according to the law, can be divided into two categories, sexual harassment, and sexual assault, whereas the former is governed by Ontario Human Rights Code, and the latter governed by Canadaโs Criminal Code. The former is a civil matter, whereas the latter is a criminal matter.
Sexual harassment is a hot potato issue for businesses, with me-too movement going on, and employers want nothing to do with it, and most simply terminate the employee involved. Thus, it is important to avoid any conversation or act that can be construed as sexual harassment, especially when there are female co-workers around. Just clam up.
Sexual assault can also be divided into two categories, fondling (sexual assault) and rape (aggregated sexual assault). Fondling gets you a maximum sentence of 1.5 years (or 2 years if victim is under 16), and rape gets you a maximum sentence of 10 years (or 14 years if victim is under 16)
Rape is extremely risky: if the victim knows you, and she can simply call the cops on you; if she doesnโt know you, your DNA will be linked to you sooner or later whenever you or your relatives give a blood sample (see case of David Cho). Thus, in theory, for your safety, itโs best to get rid of the victim after the rape, but that may cause an even bigger issue if discovered, and I donโt want to get into the details. Paying for sex, on the other hand, is much easier.
In comparison, fondling seems a lot safer. There are two scenarios, fondling someone you know versus a stranger. When it comes to people you know, itโs a very bad idea, since your identity is not protected, and the victim can call the cops. The worst thing about sexual harassment or sexual assault that is not the punishment, but being accused of wrong-doing, and put through the process, even though the punishment may be light for fondling, your reputation will take hit even if acquitted (see case of Jian Ghomeshi).
On the other hand, fondling a stranger is relatively less risky. You need to make sure of these things:
Girl never met you before.
No witnesses including surveillance cameras.
No physical injury to the girl.
No DNA evidence.
No guardian or only female guardian around
No quick access to law enforcement to detain attacker.
Even if she went to the police station, she might not have enough info to give. Much like fraud and scams that involve little money, these incidents usually wonโt be investigated. In the worst case scenario if youโre caught, deny as if your life depended on it.
These are all pretty cliched ideas, nothing original for sure, I will get a book on the subject matter of investigating sexual assault, become familiar with their methods, and hopefully discover some loopholes.
Have a great weekend!
