massage table advice please

Im wondering if any of you have either the AFFINITY CLASSIC or AFFINITY SIENNA massage tables? They are both below £200 , which is my maximum budget, both weigh about 15 kg.

I like the look of the Sienna, as I prefer an arm shelf when Im being massaged. Neither have a raising back, so if anyone can recommed a table in this price bracket with arm shelf and raising back, and that is portable, Id be interested.

I would like to spend more but simply dont have the money. I am just starting my training so have no income from massage yet. Back problems are making me dread each massage I do , as I use a floormat at the moment. My dining table isnt long enough , Ive tried!

These tables look good in the adverts but first hand experience would be great.

Hi there Dawndaisy,
I have the Affinity Portable Massage Table. I know it isn't hte one you were asking about but it is a great couch. Very robust, takes a lot of weight (42 stone or somehting similar) and yet not overly heavy to move. Comes complete with a wheeled carry bag and was £199 which I didn't think was too bad. Got it from an online store after a lot of research!

Sorry me again. From what I gather the Affinity Classic doesn't have a moveable back support which means if you ever do anything like reflexology you won't be able to use it with your clients sitting up.

even if if isnt the same table, hearing a good review of another Affinity table is useful. im not sure if Ill actually need a backrest, as I dont plan to do reflexology. I know some massage therapists like to sitclients up supported at the end of a massage, but also know others who havent got a backrest and dont miss it. Thanks again.

Recommendations for other couches under £200 welcomed!!

I didn't mean just reflexology. I just meant that maybe for a few pounds extra (or not in this case) you might get something that could last you longer. It's just worth shopping around in the end.

Hi dawn below are a couple of links to cheap massage couches the Pro choice is an excellent value for money table and if your willing to bid you can sometimes get them well within your budget and have some to spare. I suggest you take a look before purchasing from anywhere else.

My massage table came from Pro choice and I got it off ebay, it's one of the lighter one's due to me having back problems although it will take quite a heavy client. If your'e willing to play a waiting game you can pick up a bargain, I only paid about £130 including cover and delivery which was very quick. Normally there are several tables on offer over several days and prices can vary so like I say its worth playing a waiting game, the same one I got went for £20 more a couple of days before I got mine.
They are well made and normally come complete with a case.

Ive just noticed the PORTALITE DELTA on Massage Warehouse's site. It weighs 11kg, costs £199, including tax and delivery. Has all I want but is it any good?????

It would be great to have such a light couch as Im going to be mobile, and have back problems.

Any thoughts?

A few words of advice:
Never buy a couch you wouldn't stand up on.
Always buy a couch that has a raising back rest and face hole... you never know what facilities you may want in the future.
