Massage movements for PGP/SPD

Can anyone advise on which massage movements are particularly beneficial for Pelvic Girdle Pain and which areas should be treated?

She is 4 months pregnant. I'm qualified & insured to give massage & have read massage can help but am unsure of what movements would be beneficial? She is experiencing the pain in her hips which is a symptom of PGP, she has had sciatica before & it is not that?

Is the pain to one side or generalised?

It is more on one side but she has pain on the lower central back as well, says it feels like everything is griding - poor girl!! Have just given her a back massage paying more attention to the lower back & glutes, hoping this will help her for now but still keen to know what else I can do to help her...thank you

I would do deep tissue on the side of the pain, paying more attention to the lower back, glutes and quads. But I think that's what you're working on anyway.

Perhaps one of the sports therapists can give better guidence?
