I started out with Biotone, but now I mix up my own oil blends. After our class in carrier oils I am much more careful about what I put my hands in and what I cover someone's body with.
I use safflower, sunflower or sweet almond as a base and depending on the weather, people's skin types, whether they have nut allergies etc. I blend the oil right before the session. I find that I only use about 1 - 1.5 oz per session so even though some of my oils are very expensive, the overall cost is not prohibitive. Some of my favorite oils to blend with safflower are Apricot Kernel, Kukui, Jojoba, and Grapeseed. I try to use only organic and prefer cold expeller pressed whenever possible. I have had no problems with sensitivities since I switched over to oil.
As with all healthy oils and fats, they need to be stored in a dark cool place and used promptly or discarded since with no preservatives, they will oxidize and go rancid.
