Massage Insurance- Embody

Have just completed ITEC Holistic Massage and wanted to register for insurance with them but it appears they've turned in Embody. Anyone know anything about this and whether it's any good.

Are their any pitfalls to consider when thinking about insurance. Can anyone recommend anything?

the only downside I can see to Embody is that they let 'anyone' get membership and insurance, regardless of the quality of their training courses. I have noticed a couple of 'distance learning only', massage courses on their list of approved courses??

The GCP and ‘ITEC Professionals’ merged some time ago to become IGPP, who in turn changed their name to the Complementary Therapists’ Association, who in turn are now known as ‘Embody’. There was some discussion earlier on this year on

Personally I am inclined to agree with TigerBee’s comment on that thread that “organisations need to be consistent and strong, not changing their name every couple of years, they will never get established in the public mind until they settle and stay and grow and market with that name”.
