Hiya All
has anyone tried out those massage chairs/cushions?
Well I was walking round the shopping center the other week when my lower back started niggling and as the pain got worse my legs started giving way. looking round for somewhere to sit and rest for a while i notice one of the shops had a couple of those massage chairs in. (well actually they werent the great big massage chairs they were just normal office swivel chairs but with a massage cushion attached to it. Being a massage therapist myself i have always poo poo'ed them thinking there is no substitute for a thorough hands on massage but as i was in quite some pain i decided to give one a go in the hope that anything might help . I was impressed!! Big style. This particular model simulated thumb circles either side of the spine and wow was it good. To my shame (for putting them down to everyone over the last year)I have to say itfelt every bit as good, if not better , than an actually person doing this. It was deep and i felt it move all the muscles up my back especially the thoracic area where I hold alot of tension. I sat on it for about 10 mins until my boyfriend got impatient with me because I was recommending them to every one who walked in the shop and he was getting embarrassed lol. Obviously you can set them to do different areas of your back as well as a full back and they have different massage techniques , ie hacking rolling vibration etc. I'm definetely gonna be investing in one for my own use .Ideal i think as its not often i get a proper massage myself
Has anyone else here tried them? if so what are your opinions on them?
