Massage course for couples UK

Hi from your newest members (at time of writting)

We are a happiley married couple living on the idilic isle of wight, south coast UK. We enjoy giving each other massages, to the best of out limited ability. But now we are looking to develop and refine our skills further, and are looking for help.

Does anyone know of therapists who offer short (one day/weekend) courses for couples in southern UK? We are not looking for sports massage depth, more full body "feel good" massage skills.

We are happy with our bodies and happy to attend "naturist style" or "normal" training.

We would welcome any feed back.

Hi iowcple and welcome to the forum.[/align][/align]UnfortunatelyI am not in the south or you could have come to me, I used to teach couples to massage each other in a day course when I was in Hull, but I have not done it for a few years since I have been in Filey.[/align][/align]You can get massage training videos and DVDs of eBay quite cheaply, but as you have probablyfathomed outit is better to get hands on tuition, I hope you get someone down south who can teach you [/align]

Yes its the hands on approach we are looking for. We want to make sure we are using the right amount of pressure for the right area.

Its worth looking at the Maitri Foundation - based in Gloucestershire,if thats not too far. They do a weekend Introduction to Massage course that should fitthe bill exactly -very muchhands on relaxing massage. The next one runs October 21st/22nd.Youshould be able todo this as a 'couple' and do all the practical work on each other

I did this course many moons ago and it was great. I then went on to do their full course thatis APNT / BCMA accredited (and much more detailed and intense). I cant recommend the trainers highly enough - very skilled practitioners and teachers and a lovely relaxed setting.
