massage books

hi can anyone recomend any good books on massage i am having difficulty finding something. Thanks

For a basic introductory book, I would recommend 'The Massage Manual' by Fiona Harrold (the founder of the London College of Massage). It is very well-illustrated and has eight chapters showing sequences for different parts of the body.
If you subsequently want to refer to a book which is more advanced but still well-illustrated, I would recommend 'Basic Clinical Massage Therapy' by Clay & Pounds.
Another book that I would recommend (for a discussion of how to earn a living from massage, rather than for massage techniques) is 'Massage: A Career at Your Fingertips' by Martin Ashley. It is aimed at the American market, but is still very useful for British readers.

For an holistic approach I would look out for 'The Magic of Massage by Ouida West ISBN 0 7126 03166' or for a more clinical approach then apart from the books you have already been told about, I would also recommend 'Sport & Remedial Massage Therapy by Mel Cash ISBN 0-09-180956-8

Art Riggs Deep tissue massage is great. But you really have to have the dvd's to do it justice. The mel cash book is good.
