Massage and Sun beds

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me here. I had a client who wants a full body massage and a sun bed, one after the other.
Now, i know with Aromatherapy that you cant have a sunbed after the treatment but i wondered if it was the same with a normal Body Massage using vegatable oils only.

I have checked my training notes and it is not mentioned anywhere and i have checked a Massage Text book.
I did say that it was probably not advisable and could they be done at different times.
Does anyone out there know.

That is a definite no no.

She would burn like a chip in a fryer.

No oils whatsoever on the skin before using a sunbed.

Sunbed before a massage may be a different story and the oils(base) may be beneficial for moisturising the skin after the drying from the sunrays.

Cheers for your response Lucky G. I did advise the client previous to starting this thread that i didn't think it was s good idea to take a sunbed after a massage. I absolutely hate sunbeds.
I thought that it would be ok with sunbed before massage but you know i just erred on the side of caution. IMO Sunbeds are awful things and i thought that the skin might react with a vegetable oil after the treatment especially if they weren't used to having them.
