massage after a long haul flight
Just a thought...
Whenever I take a long trip I usually end up getting sick after I get home.
I just assume it's from being cooped up in the plane with a bunch of sick people with that yucky recirculated "germy" air.
IF I get a massage when I am coming down with something it seems to hasten the illness - I get sick fast and furious.
So - you just might want to mention to client that some people react to a massage like this.
I witnessed a teacher at my school go ahead and get a massage when she was pretty sick with a cold. A couple days later whe was out with pnuemonia.
Could be coincidence, but I'm just sayin' it's something to consider.
Otherwise, I think getting massage after a trip is a wonderful idea. Airline seats are not made for normal people and everyone I see has neck and low back discomfort after a long trip (not to mention foreign beds...). A little lymph drainage is beneficial for some too. Go ahead a schedule her and see how her body reacts.
If there is any problem then she will know to schedule the day or week after return next time.
