hi, can anyone help,
for the first time someone in my family has asked me to use my skills in aromatherapy to come up with a face mask that will make your face feel firm like when using collagen, i said oki'll do it and now i cant seem to find anything to help me do it, i hate to say it but my sister in law is a person who would love to shout from the roof tops that i can't do it and so much for being an aromatherapist, i dont want to buy in a mask nor even call it my own as i am not like that,so could anyone help me with my problem at all i would be so grateful if you can give me some advise to the mess i have got myself in to.[]

hi, can anyone tell me if i could use collagen tablets and empty them out in a cream, lotion or a clay mask etc

you can buy the clay in a pot ,i think essentially oils sell them and then add your on stuff to the clay.As for having a firming effect i think theclay will help with this,then choose the eo`s to suit skin type etc.Not my area but hope that hlps.

hi, thank you for responding, its a shame that no-one else could have given someinput, theres alot of people out there i'm sure with just the same problems, i am quite shocked that so many have looked and only one person gave their time up to help, i think i have got this all wrong, i thought we all try to advise others and help on this site, but i guess not anymore.

Sorry I dont think I have the answers you are looking for but just wanted to say I'm one of the many who has looked at your post purely because I was interested to see what answers would come up for this one and I suspect many of the others could have been viewing the post for the very same reason?

If i were to choose a mask as part of my treatments I personally wouldn't be looking to add anything to that mask other than EO's.You coulduse Eo's with astringent/ toning properties but I'm not experienced enough with masks to say they would give the same effect as collagen. But it sounds from your post that this person is looking for something more akin to a beauty treatment so why not just refer them on to a beauty therapist - It doesn't make you less of an aromatherapist by knowing when to refer a client on.

Sorry I can't be of more help, most of my clients visit for mainly psychological and some physical reasons and masks don't seem to get requested

I hope you find what you are looking for - go out there with confidence and rememberyour sister-in-law isnot the one who is a qualified aromatherapist so she can't really make a comment can she

thank you beccie and lilly43 for getting back to me, i am grateful, i have use sbc before but i just didnt feel i could get it for my sister-in-law as she wanted me to make the product, i will have a look at that yoursaromatherapy.co.uk and see whats there, thanks.
sorry if i seem a b**** i just find that when you ask questions you got answers, not always what you wanted to hear, but that was the point behind forums and its seems like thats not so anymore,
i think i felt there was more people who knew then there was that didnt, as i know there is alot that seem quick to say homestudy courses are crap and only the best is the best and that they are the best! but i have done both and know that its the same its what you do after that counts, ie if you think you know something and you do it, to someone who thinks well i may know it, i will look it up first before doing it. i know which one i would want to be!
