I live in Maryland. I've been considering massage school for about a year now. This week I finally called the local schools. I got general information about the programs they offered and the tuitions. I plan on visiting them soon.
I'm close enough that I could attend schools in Virgina as well. I am particularly interested in the National Massage Therapy Institute in Falls Church. Any feedback on this school; positive, negative, neutral? And if I was to enroll and graduate from a school in Virginia how would licensing work since I live and plan to work in Maryland? I'm sure that I could get this question answered when I visit the school(s) but I'd rather hear from MTs who have actually been there and done that.
I would greatly appreciate any Maryland MTs' review and/or recommendations for the schools that they attended.
When I am licensed to practice I would like to focus on prenatal clients, the elderly, and animals. I'm fond of these groups but won't limit myself to them either. So I'm looking for a good program that would give me a good foundation to work with these groups of clients.
Thanks a bunch in advance!
