Washington (7News) — A 42-year-old Jefferson, Maryland, was arrested earlier this week for sexual abuse in D.C., according to authorities.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the charges stem from an incident on July 2, 2024, when the suspect, Andrew Ramirez, was providing massage therapy services to a victim in the 1300 block of Maryland Avenue, Southwest.

During the session, MPD said Ramirez allegedly engaged in unwanted sexual acts with the victim.

He was arrested on May 20 and charged with first degree sexual abuse of a client.

Authorities have urged anyone who has had contact with Ramirez and believes they may be a victim to reach out to MPD's Sexual Assault Unit at 202-727-3700.
