I stopped by this week and had a great massage by Mandy. My coworker made the recommendation and I've read some positive reviews of her on this board.
On my way in, there were a couple of construction workers working on the street. I think the road was getting repaved? One of them shouted out to me and said "have a great massage". I gave him a thumbs up and as I was walking down the stairs, I could hear them laughing. Luckily they were gone by the time I left. This has nothing to do with the massage but I just wanted to mention it since I usually wait in the car and enter when the coast is clear. I guess I don't want to be seen walking in. Does anyone else do that as well? However, I must say that I am a lot more comfortable walking in now than I used to be.
Anyway, on to the massage. Mandy is attractive and she's pretty tall. She wears cute glasses and comes across as very friendly even though she doesn't say much. She welcomed me into the room and asked how long I would like to stay. I opted for a 1 hour massage.
After I undressed, I laid on the table for just a couple of minutes when she knocked and came back in. The room was nice and dark and she started off with a very light touch massage. Just running her fingertips from head to toe. I was undraped and the temperature of the room was perfect. I actually caught myself dozing off a few times.
While working on my back and calves, she applied a lot of pressure. It felt great and I loved how she attacked some of the knots in my back. I believe that I've read that there are others who aren't fans of her elbow techniques but I have to say that I enjoyed it very much. She can use any part of her body to massage me as long as it feels good. There were times where it felt a little painful, but it was pain in a good way. She asked me a couple of times how the pressure was and she was able to adjust accordingly to my requests.
Towards the end of the massage, I regretted not staying for 90 minutes instead. But I usually request 30-45 minutes when I'm meeting someone new since there have been times where the massage was just awful and 30 minutes felt too long. So that's my rule that I've made for myself.
After the flip, she dimmed the lights even more and started working on my feet and shins. I requested the shins since I run a lot and always have shin splints. I think that was my favorite part of the massage. Next time will definitely be 90 minutes. I left feeling happy and loose. I paid $120 for the hour.
Also, I'm a fan of the oil that she uses. The smell doesn't linger as much as some other places. It would be great if they had a shower but I don't feel as greasy leaving here as I do some other places. Got back into my car and saw that I was inside for about 75 minutes.
I would definitely repeat.
