A man has been charged after two sexual assault investigations involving two separate women hired as massage attendants at a local spa, and investigators fear there may be more victims.
In a press release Tuesday, Toronto police said that in September 2016 and in December 2022, two different women responded to job postings on Kijiji advertising for a massage attendant position.
Toronto police say the victims were then placed at Anna's Spa, at 4286 Kingston Road, Unit 4 in Scarborough.
According to police, “both ads targeted international students.”
In both cases, police say the women were asked to start training right away and allege the suspect instructed them to role-play in order "to demonstrate techniques.”
The suspect put on a white coat and a stethoscope and assumed the role of the masseuse, according to police, while the women posed as customers.
Police said both women were allegedly sexually assaulted during their training sessions.
Toronto police have arrested the trainer, Allen Jacob, 41, of Toronto. He faces two counts of sexual assault and appeared at 1911 Eglinton Ave. E. court on Monday.
Police are concerned there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to contact police at 416-808-7474.
