Longview massage business Salt & Light Massage Therapy has expanded to now serve the Tyler area and is set to open Tuesday.
The Longview location opened in October of 2020 with a 120 square foot room and just three clients. By July of the following year, the business had moved inside the Axis Fit & Nutrition Fitness Center.
Owner Natalie Taylor said opening the business was a challenge during COVID-19.
“I was excited and nervous to open my business during COVID-19. I knew the hard work and determination it would take to be successful, but my faith in trusting God and His plan proved to be greater,” she said. “I just never expected to have all the support we’ve had and to see this much growth in just two short years.”
“It’s been the biggest blessing to help others; especially after COVID-19 and seeing how many are still recovering from touch deprivation,” Taylor added.
It wasn’t long before Taylor needed to hire a second therapist.
“As I continued to take on more clients, it was time to hire a second licensed massage therapist,” she said. Now with over 100 reviews and over 300 clients, Salt & Light Massage Therapy continues to grow and change the industry one client at a time.”
Taylor explained the expansion to Tyler felt like a natural next step after moving to the area with her husband.
“In 2020, my husband and I moved to Tyler and started to call this beautiful town our home. We just knew this was where God was calling us to settle down,” she said. “Plus I had always wanted to open a studio in Tyler. We love it here. And when friends would ask if it would ever happen, I would tell them that one day we might expand and offer two locations.”
Taylor said she hopes the Tyler community will like family when they walk in the door rather than just a number.
“Salt & Light Massage Therapy started with a goal to not only help our clients with relaxation but also give them a personalized treatment plan where they’re not just a number. We don’t rush you in and out,” she said. “We also feel it’s important to offer additional services at no extra cost. These add-ons can make the difference in each client’s treatment and recovery.”
“I believe in the Salt & Light Massage brand and the difference we’re making in the lives of our Longview clients so much that I wanted to bring it to our Tyler family, too,” Taylor said.
Both locations offer Therapeutic, Swedish, Prenatal, Reflexology, and Cupping sessions. Services included are hot towels, hot stones, cold stones, cupping, stretching, and aromatherapy.
Taylor said the mission of Salt & Light Massage Therapy is to continue educating others on the holistic approach to healing and using massage to treat diseases and ailments; including, anxiety/depression, muscle tension, chronic pain, Fibromyalgia, and delayed onset muscle soreness.
Taylor said she left the corporate world to serve others and help them find balance on their journey.
“We live in a world that rarely sleeps and one that requires us to balance our work life, raising a family, and self-care. I have spent my entire adult life practicing and focusing on helping others achieve a healthy balance,” she said. “This is why I left the corporate world in 2018 to become a licensed massage therapist. There can be a healthy balance to it all and I’m here to support you on this journey.”
