Laveal Jones
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A masseur at a Lincoln spa is accused of sexually assaulting a woman during a massage.
Laveal Jones, 41, of Lincoln was charged Tuesday with first-degree sexual assault.
Lancaster County Judge Timothy Phillips set his bond at $350,000.
On March 27, a 44-year-old woman reported that Jones assaulted her at 5 Elements Massage & Spa near 56th Street and Old Cheney Road.
He touched her breasts and genitals while giving her a massage, according to an arrest affidavit.
Police said he also squeezed her neck with enough force that the victim was afraid he was going to strangle her.
After she left, the woman took a sexual assault examination at a hospital.
Earlier this month, police interviewed Jones and said he agreed to provide a DNA sample.
The state crime lab found that his DNA matched DNA that had been found on the woman’s breasts and underwear, according to the affidavit.
Jones turned himself in Monday night.
He is due back in court June 4.
