Take this for what it is worth, but I haven't taken his lecture either. However I did the video taping section for his workshop in Feb.
So, I got no hands on work, but I was up close and seeing all the technquies front and center. I purchased the DVD afterward. The DVDs are very well done and you should be able to follow along and pick up technques rather easily. I am a visual learner so the combo of sitting in on his workshop and getting the DVDs helped.
For his neck work they used a see thru plastic and filmed it from the bottom so you can see the hand positioning and technque. Very cool.
