Learning from Waslaski DVDs?

So there are no Waslaski seminars close to me until July of next year :-\

How useful do you folks think the DVD would be to someone who'd never taken classes with him? Worthwhile or no?

Take this for what it is worth, but I haven't taken his lecture either. However I did the video taping section for his workshop in Feb.
So, I got no hands on work, but I was up close and seeing all the technquies front and center. I purchased the DVD afterward. The DVDs are very well done and you should be able to follow along and pick up technques rather easily. I am a visual learner so the combo of sitting in on his workshop and getting the DVDs helped.
For his neck work they used a see thru plastic and filmed it from the bottom so you can see the hand positioning and technque. Very cool.

If you're disciplined enough to learn from video (I'm not,) they are good, and you'll come away with excellent information. But I believe there are things that you just can't get without taking a class.

P.S. Since Waslaski lives in TX, is there any way you can go a day early & get a session from him? I think he still offers appts. when he's in town, but I'm not sure.

I think he does live in Texas, but what do you think the likelihood is that I can get on his books with that narrow a window. Good idea though.

I have to add, my clients are raving about the work I've learned in just the lower body section. Doctor, acupuncturist, chiropractor and coworkers have been calling me to find out what's going on. I've had a half dozen reports (from different sources about different clients) of the client walking into the room and announcing "LOOK WHAT I CAN DO!"

It's phenomenal.

When I finish this training, I'm looking into taking a few more classes from Erik Dalton before he reduces his seminar schedule even further. (Plus I have his complete DVD Home study course, but nothing beats an in-person workshop.)

My ultimate goal is to be the therapist that people see to get better, not the therapist that they see every week for stress/maintenance/because it feels good. Not to be taken that I dislike my weekly clients- I'm always happy to see them. It's just that I want my practice to go in a different direction.
