I try and get a massage at least once a week and see it as an essential part of my self development.
However, I believe it to be equally essential for massage therapists to develop a peer support group. It's far too easy for a self employed therapist to be come isolated.
It's also important to develop our skills, and it's not a good idea to be trying them out on new clients. So a peer group is a great place to set up an exchange.
I once heard of a hot Stone therapist who had never received a hot Stone massage.
