Yes, reflexology can be beneficial for increasing a person's wellness and optimum health. Nothing is guaranteed, but it is worth a try and won't hurt anything. First, it just feels good to get your feet massaged. I donรยขรขโยฌรขโยขt think I have ever stayed awake for a whole session.
From a therapeutic point of view, it is one form of energy healing therapies which include acupuncture, meridian therapy, etc. It would be similar to auriculotherapy, where the whole body, and the treatment points, can be found in the ear or feet. We do not use reflexology at our clinic; however, we do use auriculotherapy, the acupuncture in the ear, for many conditions. I believe reflexology can work. It is not the end-all and do-all, but then again, nothing is. Medicine wonรยขรขโยฌรขโยขt cure everything, neither will acupuncture, reflexology, chiropractic, therapy, even Christ couldnรยขรขโยฌรขโยขt cure everyone in his hometown due to lack of faith. However, at our office, sometimes only one form of treatment will get a person better, but sometimes we have to combine more than one thing, medicine, acupuncture, chiropractic, auriculotherapy, massage, PT, re-hab exercises, nutrition etc.
