Is Aromatherapy Massage Popular?

I would like to train in Aromatherapy Massage, but would like to know if anyone offers aromatherapy massage and how popular it is? Do you have many clients asking for this therapy or is it mostly swedish massage?

If you provide aroma massage, how many clients do you get roughly for this treatment per month or week?

My caseload is a mix of massage types, mainly ladies go for aromatherapy or people tend to buy the aromatherapy massage value in gift vouchers for gifts. Men have a tendancy to go for swedish or deep tissue or even sports massage which my partner does so i pass them over to him! I have had a few men ask for aromatherapy but when you dig deeper their idea of a nice relaxing massage and mine are very different!!! hahahahah

Aromatherapy can lead you into many different areas and not just massage.

Isis, do you get much interest in the aromatherapy massage? approx how many clients?

When I qualified in aromatherapy, I thought most of my clients opting for aromatherapy massages would be women, but that's not turned out to be true. Quite a few men go for it too.

The exact No. of clients per week vary. If you're asking about can you make a living from it then my response is yes. But, you need to have a passion, a USP, dedication, hard work and skill. If you're just thinking it would be a nice career move then, you're mistaken. You have to earn your stripes with dedication and hard work.

I've been a therapist for over 14yrs and I charge accordingly for my experience and training. It has been a long and wonderful journey and continues to be. Best of luck with yours.

With regards to how I get my clients - website, web listings, google maps and listings and most important of all - word of mouth. I have built a reputation that is worth more than gold.

I am fully qualified aromatherapist, IFA aromatherapy massage routine etc. I have NEVER had anyone book for an aromatherapy treatment. I include aromatherapy essential oils in most treatments at no extra charge, but I don't think I could manage the textbook aromatherapy massage at all.

I think essential oils are very powerful and very helpful in many many conditions, I don't think aromatherapy is as marketable as it was say 10years ago, then it was all add 5 drops of this and aromatherapy this and essential oil that, now it's just assumed, I think 'detox' is the big marketing thing around the last few years.
