I have two Guinea Pigs. One of them is 1-2 years (Chewit), and the other is 6 weeks old. (Bill)
I put them both at opposite sides of the bath, and let them walk to each other. Bill stood in the corner of the bath, while Chewit walked over to the hay and started munching on it, then after about 5-10 minutes Bill walked closer to him, staying along the side of the bath. Chewit saw him, and walked over to him. They both made these purring sort of squeak noises. Chewit sniffed him, then nibbled his ear a bit. Then Chewit walked over to where Bill had been stood, and licked his wee.
After this, they started following each other around, sniffing their butts. Chewit mounted Bill, at the exact time my dad walked into the bathroom. My dad has now nicknamed him Gay Guinea Pig?
Chewit also walked on top of Bill a few times.
After a while, he went back to eating the hay, and Bill joined in. (I was very glad about that, because Bill hadn't been eating his food)
They kept doing this for a while, then Chewit layed down for a bit. Bill walked up to him and nudged him a bit, so Chewit moved across the bath and lay down again.
This lasted for about 30-40 minutes, then i took them out, and put Chewit back in his hutch, and Bill back in his cage.
Was this good for a first time introduction?
I've never introduced Guinea Pigs before, but from what ive read, it went ok. I just wanted to double check.
Thankyou!
