If you're referring to the infinite massage located in San Francisco, I have worked a couple of jobs for her and did not have a very positive experience. If you decide to sign on, I hope you have better luck!

i sent the company an email asking for employment information and possible job openings in my area. (i was a little stunned...they sure want a lot of information about me, without telling me anything about their company!) so, i was just curious if anyone has worked for them and what your experiences were.

Wow, they are asking for a lot of info from someone who doesn't know enough about them to know if you WANT to work with them! Maybe try asking again, in another way?

I saw this thread and thought I might be of assistance:

I know it seems like a lot of information to request, and to be honest we really only need your basic contact info to start off with. The reason we ask for all the required documentation upfront is because we frequently have last minute jobs to staff & if we have all the info we need then we can be ready to go. Otherwise, it's much more stressful getting everything together on a tight deadline.

Therapists who are fully documented often get staffing priority simply because it's less work for us & they've shown that they are serious, professional and ready to go to work.

Phiefer, I'm interested in what kind of negative experience you've had working with us. We're always looking for valuable feedback that will help improve our relationships with our massage therapists.

Anyway, I hope that clears things up a little but if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.

I've worked a couple of jobs for them...the first was a 5 day event, strictly hand massage, for a local festival here. It was a lot of money but by day 3, I wanted to cry....we're talking 8 solid hours of hand massage. It was brutal. I think I would do it again, but certainly NOT for 5 days straight! My most recent job was a one day corporate chair massage job and it went well, and I am going back later this month. When I got the check from them (they are quick about paying) it had a flyer on the IM practices/rules, etc., and they want you to have music, and they prefer "their" surround sound, which is a set of speakers that attach onto the chair or something, and when I called about it, they said that they can send it and take it out of my next check. It's only $25, but that is something I have a problem with. If I am working for them, I feel that they should be providing everything for me to use, at their expense. I realize that they probably do this so people don't walk off with it and quit working for them, but you get paid after the job, so you could just withold the money from that check, but that's just my opinion on the situation. My CD player works fine!

All in all, things have gone okay!

I just found this on Massage Warehouse's website. What a fascinating idea! I've seen this on snowboarding helmets but never would have thought to do it for a massage face rest! Phew... at $80 it's a little pricey though.

Just saw this thread, I work part time for Infinite Massage and have now for about four years. Basically they call when there's a job and you can decide to take it or not. They aren't based in San Fran any longer, now they are based in Texas and under new ownership. If you want to learn about them, you can go to their website. They require proof of your massage insurance and licensing as would any company that is going to hire your massage services. The surround sound thing was actually for a test run of the product (a year or so ago?), I didn't do a job that used it but one of my colleagues did and they mailed it to her. They don't require that now.

I've enjoyed working with them and they pay well compared to any other chair job I've seen. Often, they reimburse parking fees, which is great for us here in San Diego! The checks always come in a timely manner and I've always been treated well on the phone. The people in San Fran weren't quite as friendly as they are in Texas, but that's probably more of a cultural thing. If you are looking for any part time or full time chair work (but don't want to run your own chair show), I highly recommend that company.
