Indian head massage chairs

Just wondering if any one can help me. I am looking for an IHM portable chair and have researched a few companies, but my question is regarding the face cradle bit. If the client is facing forward with her face in the cradle, How do i change her position to enable me to massage her face, without disrupting her???? Does she have to get up ??? Help please anyone ??

When I do Indian Head Massage I just use a directors chair, places like B&Q have them, from what I know the kind of chair you are talking about is for doing On Site Massage and can cost in the region of £200 upwards or maybe more, I got my directors chair for under £10.

I got a bog standard foldable plastic chair from Ikea for £6 and its fine - the back is low enough to work down the clients back easily and its wide as well so no chance of falling off or anything. Allows the client to have their feet firmly flat on the ground as well.

I do onsite massage including acupressure and indian head massage, and I use the same chair for both - a portable stonglite massage chair. Its a must for the acupressure but my clients find that they love the support of it for the IHM too, I either ask them to sit up at the very end I'll work on their face then, or some prefer the work on the head whilst sitting up as well so you can do either.

Weigh up how much money it'll cost and how much you'll use the chair (mine was 350 and I made the money back really quickly workingin offices). When I started I just did IHM and used a plastic chair from habitat that was only£40- my main advice is make sure that whatever you get is really comfy!
