I'm not sure what to charge

I've just been approached for corporate chair massage anywhere from 15 - 24 employees. I've never done this on my own, so I have no idea what to charge for it. My regular rates are $60 - $70 for table massage at my location. The location is not far, so I'm not worried about travel fees too much - just not sure how to come up with an hourly rate. Any help would be so much appreciated! Thanks!

I charge my normal hourly rate ($60) per hour, plus a travel fee ($20). Even if it is just down the street, I still have to pack up all of my supplies to travel.

There are others on the list who charge more per hour (I think I've heard $75 - $80) for corporate outcalls, but no travel fee.

I like the simplicity of just charging a flat hourly rate like that. I still don't know though. I feel like I should be charging more than my regular rate since I'm going to be performing a marathon while I'm there with 15 - 24 clients.

Our rules of thumb are:

1) Chair Massage is ALWAYS more expensive than local office/clinic rates
2) Employee paid is ALWAYS more expensive than employer paid.
3) Contract rate discounts kick in after SIGNIFICANT commitment -- at 5x, 10x and 20x your average one-time event, for instance. Businesses understand this -- typically supplies give a 2% discount for every DOUBLING of volume.

Simple is always best.

I am thinking of a simple flat rate of my time that I spend there (excluding lunch). So if they want me there for 5 hours, I'll get a 30 minute unpaid lunch break and if it's a split cost then any employees who are no-shows the company will pay for them and take care of it how they please.

Thanks everyone. I gave a flat rate of $85 per hour if it's a one time event, but for a wellness program I'm discounting it to $75 per hour. I think that's pretty reasonable and doesn't leave me feeling resentful.

IMO, we should charge more for chair massage than table massage. Especially for a corporate account or an event, because more supplies are being used, more people are being dealt with, more qi is being expended and I'm traveling to the site. Convenience costs more.

I go to my clients with either the table or the chair, so it's more convenient for *me* to take the chair - no sheets to haul or wash, and the chair case is on wheels and much lighter. To me, a chair event is a bit of a break. I charge the exact same amount for chair as for table - flat rate for time.
