~WOOHOO~ :grin: 8 months of school, and I'm finally done. As soon as I get in my 128 hours of internship, I'll officially be graduated & able to take the national test.

Yes, I've already started my own business & am renting space in a hair salon. My school is letting me do my hours there, but I'm also going to work for a week with another MT I know who's a very good family friend, and is the one responsible for my love of MT I'm honored to be working under her, and quite nervous about giving her a massage :

I'm confused; how can you have started your own business if you haven't taken your national test - or is that not a requirement for licensure in your state?

I thought of you yesterday, as I was massaging a lady (a massage instructor!) who has a beautiful tattoo of a pink lotus on her shoulder. She told me that the pink lotus blooms from the mod at the bottom of the pond. Cool!

I admit, I am a bit jealous of you- I have to do all my internship hours at the school. It's not *so* bad, I am halfway done already!

Does Oklahoma even have state licensing? I didn't think they did. So in that case, you're doing the internship hours for the National requirements, yes? Or am I mistaken?

Oklahoma has no licensing. My school is 1000 hours, and 200 of that is externship hours. As soon as I get them done, I get my diploma & can take the NCETMB. I don't *have* to take it, but I want to, and my school is paying- so I might as well! I think to take the NCETMB you only need 500 hours of school, right?

Timedess- that's so cool! I love the lotus flower, and I've got a drawing of one that a friend & fellow MT drew up for me framed above my desk in my home office. As soon as I have the extra money, I'm getting it tattooed on my left arm I can't wait!
