i'll take the guy who was just rear-ended!!

clinic went really well today. 2 out of my 4 clients had some pretty serious back issues that needed to be addressed. i always have mixed feelings about this because it sucks for so someone to have to deal with chronic pain, but as their (student) massage therapist i learn a lot from these sessions and feel extremely satisfied when i make a tangible dent in their pain. if they didn't walk away feeling significantly better, i wouldn't be so excited to work on them. but my hands can make people feel better.... last week i volunteered to take the 32 yr old police officer who'd recently been rear-ended. jumped at the opportunity, as a matter of fact. and it was great. it's amazing to me that i can feel what is bad, do stuff with my hands to change it.... and then the pain is significantly reduced, some mobility is restored and they're happy they came.

man, i LOVE this gig i only wish i did this earlier in life.
