Hi,

Looking to getting a massage for the first time, and the number of options available is bewildering, to be honest! Looking for recommendations from you folks to ensure that my first experience is a positive one!

Looking for suggestions for both a spa and an MP. A place in the North York/Scarborough region or Chinatown would be great. Also, I fully realize that MMMY but looking for more something in between a HJ and FS (am I setting my expectations too high as an inexperienced hobbiyst??)

Do you even want a massage in the first place? A majority of FS places will have underwhelming massages, you wanna know how much you wanna pay, there's a lot of choices you'll wanna kind of narrow down what it is you want, FS is more options but the massage will be little to non-existent, semi will tend to have better massage but within limits for extras usually no FS available, do you want your masseuse to be in their 30s or 40s you don't mind, if you know what you want it'll be a lot easier for people to help you or suggest a place because a "suggestion" is very vague, also this hobby can get rather addictive

Don't worry and overthink this. It isn't a job interview - you're supposed to enjoy yourself.

Pick one of the well reviewed semi-legitimate spas and choose an MPA that strikes your imagination.

It will be fine.

Recently met Gigi, quite a gem. Massage is not as strong as many, more or a Tuina style than true deep tissue. Soft spoken, carried on a good conversation the entire time, behaved liked a total sweetheart. Not a clock watcher. If you like average size A-Cup gals, she is a good one. I was mildly disappointed that the high end extras are not on the menu; I can be a hardcore regular if she offers more. I left happy and would repeat.
