If blacks have black skin to protect from the sun, then how come Singapore has

I don't know, how come Copperhead snakes and Rattlesnakes both live in the same areas and eat the same prey, yet rattlesnakes are so much more venomous than copperheads? evolution is strange and it doesn't necessarily react the same at all times even with the same stimuli.

Phillip, how long ago do you think Singapore was first settled by mankind? As long ago as Africa? Singapore is NOT the cradle of mankind. Africa is. Human mutation takes thousands of years.

ANSWER: Give them time. They'll darken up eventually.

Climate changed from a long time ago when we were evolving probably

I think Chinese experienced colder climate and higher altitudes in the past. Singapore may have been inhabited by a darker "islander" race and the light Chinese took over. If racial evolution exists, it would take too long for us to notice the change. For us to notice a change would require a black or darker population to come to China and interracial marry en masse, and dominate the lighter races and over time , or like in USA where we either ran off or killed the Native Americans, the color would change.
