Ideas for Graduation Ceremony

My class is graduating in 3 weeks.....and Ive been tring to gather ideas for grad ceremony. Rituals, poetry related to massage......anything. Hoping people will look here to share what they had at their graduation, or I might post in another location.

ANything would be helpful.....even ideas or links for places to look.

we didn't have too big of a deal at our school. it came off as a little corny to me & totally fake. but the thing that i did like was they had paint out and a big canvas. every graduating class would paint their hand a put their "stamp" onto the canvas and write their name underneath. i thought that was cool. they do this for each class that graduates and they hang them up around the school.

We did the hand print on the blackboard... I think it was erased w/in a week. : We didn't do anything special that I recall for our graduation.
I did, however, write a poem and read it at the graduation of the class previous to ours. Sorry I don't have any better suggestions. t102

Hi,

At our graduation, we had several people take charge of different aspects for graduation. We had someone read a nice sentiment of our educational experiences. We gave plaques to specific instructors, directors, etc..

You could gather all of the pictures taken through your time spent in school and put together a nice collage. A family member of one of the students is a professional photographer. She had us all meet at a park to take some individual and group pictures, we had a framed collage made.

I made a PowerPoint with casual, funny random pictures of my classmates and had it viewed on a smart board with music. Several of the students were in tears of joy by the end of our graduation ceremony.

It was a great day!

Shane,

I want to lend my encouragement and support to you as you help plan this important event. Some in my MT class didn't even want to participate and now they wish they had done more to make it special.

I found a nice poem about Mt on the internet, and I read that. It was the only student contribution to the ceremony.

Whatever you do, keep going!

most of my fellow student DO want to participate, a couple are indifferent, and one doesnt want anything.

For me, its a HUGE transitional moment in my life......which is why Ive jumped in to organize it.
