I want to be a massage therapist how?

Ok I live in LA California and am a junior in highschool and currently taking algebra 2 and chemistry history ap Spanish and English. I passed all except algebra 2 so I'm retaking it next year and pass it. But I want to become a massage therapist should I not take algebra 2 again or do I even need it. Do I need college? How do I enroll in massage? So many questions help I'm lost. I just wanna live a normal good paying job

Dont go for a massage therapist. Trust me. Aim far, you still have a V bright future dont just stop at a massage therapist. And i dont see why u should.

You don't need algebra to be a therapist in California.

You do need a course in logic. The state recently turned licensing (called "certification") over to a nonprofit. Officially it's voluntary. But many cities are making it mandatory.

So depending on your city in LA, you may have the choice of licensing with the city or licensing with this nonprofit (CAMTC). (Or the city may just require CAMTC.) The advantage to going the CAMTC route that is if you move to a different city in California, you're still able to practice massage--they can't require you to get a separate individual massage license. (Otherwise you'd have to relicense from step one in the new city.)
