I started school today!

I'm so excited!

Today I started school for massage Therapy at our community college. I have to take the pre-req's first and will officially be eligable for the program in the spring. I'm going along the route of the certificate program but after I get that (6-9 months) I'm continuuing on for the associates degree which is geared towards medical massage. Aside from any class that is massage specific I'm in classes with all the nursing students because the school is very popular for their nursing program.

I'm taking the pre-req's:
Medical Terminology- Online
A & P 1- On Campus
Intro to Massage Therapy- On Campus

Medical terminology seems pretty easy so far. Just memorization. I'm sure intro to MT will be interesting. I'm a little worried about how hard A & P will be but I'm up for it! Wish me luck!

Welcome to the board!!! I went thru a 650 hour community college program and learned alot. I was originally a Nursing major there, but switched over to massage becuase I wasn't motivated to pursue nursing anymore...I am so happy I chose massage therapy as my career! I am learning new things every day! Post here often and let us know how school goes! Just remember to relax, breathe, form a support system and just enjoy soaking up as much knowledge as you can! The time as a massage student is priceless and unforgettable!
