I PASSED!!
Now I just have to get my fingerprints done so I can send in all my stuff to the state and wait for my license. I already have a job at a day spa waiting for me and I have had 3 other job offers in this last week as well. I think I'm just gonna talk to all of them and see what they have to offer, then make up my mind which one I'll take. I really should take the first job that's waiting for me at the day spa, since they have been nice enough to wait for me to get through all this whole procedure, but I have heard some very unpleasant things about them, cleanliness for one thing, and that they are behind on their rent because of slow traffic, so I'm wondering if I should even bother with setting up there only to have to move out soon if they shut down or something. Decisions, decisions. One of the job offers is in a very busy workout place that has state of the art equipment plus 4 tanning rooms, 2 classrooms for private workout sessions with trainers plus a hair salon. The owner told me that he has been wanting to turn one of the classrooms into a massage room for quite some time now, but just hasn't been able to find a massage therapist yet. This job sounds like a really good prospect to me, although being a newbie I'm not sure if I could handle some of those great big guys that might want massaged. All I can do right now is give a good relaxation massage. Since I finished school in February, I have been studying so much that I haven't done any full body massages in quite a while. I usually just work on my husband, and he only cares for his back and neck done. Funny, I've told many friends and family members to call and come over to get massaged because I need the practice and it's free, but nobody ever takes me up on it though. My school instructor really enjoyed the massages I gave her, and the clients in my clinics all rated me high, but I'm out of practice now. Got to get some practice in before I start working somewhere thats for sure!
