Regarding the taking in of girls from the outside: I have never encountered any problems and believe, that this has not changed since. Keep in mind, you are not living in a catholic dormitory, you are living in a hotel.

Went there and was unable to get a massage for 2 days (you need to book). Don't think anything is happening there as it seemed quite empty so not sure there are massage staff. Nice swimming pool and gym. Steam room / sauna, are very basic.

Any info on bringing girls back here? Plan to go check out Manhattan, but am a bit worried about bringing girl back with hotel security etc.

All chinese, mostly well dressed (high heels, some knee-high boots).
They mostly sit on the benches at both sides of the lobby (not in the sitting area's) where they can watch the elevators.
Prices start from 300 for massage, the rest to be negotiated.

Maybe I was blind when I was there.
How were they dressed? And the prices? Starting from what level?
Were they Chinese?

I stayed in Howard Johnson for 7 days, in the evening as from 9:30 till late, a few escort girls hang around in the lobby, very descrete, nicely dressed, no problem to take them to yr room, they speak good english and prices should be negotiated, some will agree to full service.

- special massage: As far as I had seen, not available as "in house service".
But, to be honest, I had not the time to try out the spa-services, as the
spa is closing too early for my day-planning.

- You can certainly get a special massage in your room, but you must call the service from the outside and some girl comes up to your room.
I had such a service and for the rest of the time I was having this girl as company during my stay in Shanghai. she was a real looker!!! And sweet!

- The Howard Johnson doesn´t have so many girls waiting in front of the hotel. The pedestriansway is narrow and the girls that I saw, were not to my taste. also, I don´t like to negotiate directly under the eyes of the door-man.
However, as mentioned before, there are enough places around, where you can get a happy end and more.

The hotel itself is very good I usually stay at the club level and am always tempted to give the Hotel-girls there a try, but for reasons discussed in the mpnet more than once, I have not yet had the nerve to try...

When I travel to Shanhai, I always stay there.

Never had any problems taking girls up or ordering girls up.

In close vicinity are different massage-places and KTV´s. With the KTV´s, however, be careful, they like to rip you off.

I can´t tell you specific places, because I forgot the street-names. sorry.
